Mind Methods x V3 Wines Collaboration


Every year we face the same challenge. How are we going to develop a Christmas gift that highlights our overall brand values of being collaborative, honest, dedicated to excellence, taking a balanced approach, fostering community and being ethically committed?

Last year we collaborated with Maison Blanche. It was a match made in heaven as we hand made a limited supply of uniquely scented candles.

This year we had a very rare opportunity to collaborate with an award winning boutique family vineyard, Wines. We feel as though both projects have passed our litmus test. 

With only six acres of vineyard consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz and no distribution to major retailers, V³ Wines is a absolute gem and a rare find. It is for this reason that we decided to name the wine 3+3, simply due to how the vineyard is divided.

The wines produced by the vineyard are described by owner Thomas as... 

“Traditional and elegant; rounded and pleasurable to drink, a wine of character and quality”

Every bottle of V³ Wines is a lesson in how to enjoy life; and life should be enjoyed every day - not just on special occasions. 

Owners Thomas and Lefroy are very passionate in everything they do. They are classy and very respectful gentlemen, who believe that when you are producing anything, you should always surround yourself with the best of the best. With this drop, they did just that!

The wine was crafted by highly acclaimed winemaker Frank Newman, whose first-class pedigree includes impressive careers with Penfolds, Hardys and Angoves. The other notable team members are in the skilled consultant services of Paul Baguley with the viticulture, and Robert Allen implementing his advice. 

The wine is the 2009 Cabernet Shiraz. With Only 310 dozen made, Thomas describes the wine…

“The berry and chocolate characters contributed by the Cabernet are in balance with the “allspice” nuances of the Shiraz… the wine is released at its optimum but will reward further ageing in the bottle”

The Mind Methods team each took a bottle home and after decanting and allowing it to settle for approximately half an hour, I must say the wine was an absolute pleasure to drink. Not many people are gifted a wine of this vintage, so if you are one of the lucky ones, be sure to enjoy it and savour the moment with a friend or loved one.
